Wow - thanks for resurrecting the thread. I agree with the positive reviews of the Iyer and Cary recordings.

Just now heard the Dan Wilson album for the first time.  It's one of those when each song seems to get better and better, just a true joy to listen to.  I am particularly impressed with his cover of Pat Metheny's "James". It isn't too often that I hear guitarists covering Metheny's work, and even less often when they pull it off. Very well done.

Accordo Dei Contrari - UR / Italian fusion. Sophisticated and complex stuff.

Ghost Rhythms - Spectrall Music / French post - fusion band.  Great playing, thoughtful melodies, and creative arrangements.

Machine Mass Sextet - Intrusion / US 6 piece that plays a combination of standards and originals. They tackle some major jazz heavyweights (Coltrane, Zawinul, etc) but they do them justice, they are up to the task.

Pharaoh Sanders and Floating Points / it's Pharaoh Sanders. What else needs to be said?
