I think audiophiles get trapped in the well-worn audio grooves sometimes:
certain brands get good reviews so people buy 'em and tell their friends, so more dealers stock that brand, so more people buy 'em and tell their friends, and on and on. Personally, I have a Nottingham TT that I auditioned in part because of the buzz on Audio Asylum; I've subsequently mentioned it to several other people and they've gone the Nott' route as well.
Scheu doesn't quite seem to have the same buzz (though whenever I hear it mentioned, it's always good). Too bad that certain brands go unnoticed.
