I just saw Ron Nagle's review of the Cayin a70t last night.
http://www.enjoythemusic.com/magazine/equipment/0107/cayin_a70t.htm
Good review (as it largely agrees with my impression of it driving some midsized Arum Cantus standmounters at the NYRave Christmas party.)

I know that Ron dearly loves his Quads, but I'd be interested to hear his impressions of them driving his own Arum Cantus LE2. I've heard them at Ron's, and had allways felt they required a beefy sandstate amp for best results. When I heard other AC speakers at the NY Rave, I'd also thought they required beefy solid state drive. But the a70t drove the Arum Canti with good authority and that requisite warmth. Many were quite impressed.

Pehaps Ron could do a quick follow up of the Cayin driving his Canti, which might reflect a more typical Audio environment?

Keep up the great work,
Paul

Paul, many thanks, Ron indeed has excellent ears and a great system. Best bet would be to contact Ron at  NAGLE  at  ENJOYTHEMUSIC  dot  COM  and ask him directly :)

Ron has actually attended a few of our NY Audio Raves...he wasn't able to attend the most recent one a couple of weeks ago, but hopefully he can come to the next one...

Phil,

Keep Ron in the loop as am sure he'd love to attend.

FYI: have updated the CES 2007 Pre-Show report. Plan to add more pages on a nearly daily basis until the live coverage begins January 8th. Here is a direct link  http://www.EnjoyTheMusic.com/ces2007/

Steve...sorry, I meant "a few weeks ago", not "years" (I've edited the post to reflect this).

I've been in touch with Ron, and he's on our email list that provides details for our Raves.  In case you're not familiar with us, check out discussion and photos from our most recent Rave here:
