Speaker terminals
« on: 28 Jan 2022, 04:44 am »
Hello, I'm Tong from Thailand. Just watched Danny vids, as he recommend that iron in signal path is very bad thing. Cheap Chinese speaker terminal nut has iron in it. So I checked my speakers. It's Mark Audio Pluvia 7 with Chinese made mini transmission line speaker boxes.

And... It's not just nuts but all of it except plastic either has iron or is iron.

After I change those terminals, not only it's sound better, I noticed that at the same volume, it's also a bit louder. Is it weird or normal?

I thought you had soldered the speaker cable directly in the driver terminal.

I soldered speaker cable directly to both driver terminals and binding posts.
