Title: Sonicorbiter with Meridian Explorer?

I am contemplating replacing an aging squeezebox and have come across the Sonicorbiter, which I see can be used with Squeezelite. Would I be able to simply plug in a Meridian Explorer DAC and have it work?

Thanks. The Meridian Explorer works out of box on a Mac and requires drivers for Windows but I wasn't sure if anyone had hooked up one with a Linux OS and if it is possible, whether any special drivers or software modifications were required.
