Title: deCappo and Nearfield Listening Question
Post by: hawkcity on 7 Jul 2005, 07:42 pm
My listening room limits me to a nearfield listening position with speakers about 24 inches from the rear wall.  My listening position is about 64 inches from each speaker.  Given these constraints, do you think the deCappo would work?  I would appreciate any comments.

Although mine are farther out into the room than yours (50-60" ),  I usually sit somewhere between 60-70" inches away from them. Sitting so close kind of weirded me out at first, but I got used to it and the speakers sound great this way. Near field listening with the DCs should work fine for you.

I cannot use my DeCapos that close to the front wall but a friend of mine used his DeCapos even closer to his front wall. This worked fine in his room. And nearfield listening with the DeCapos is definitely one of the preferred positions.
