...set up some of my old gear. We are in need of some kindness. I was running a mac mini music server with no pre, so I have no pre to give him. We tried his Nvidia Sheild, and ran into an issue, so I would like to borrow a pre and a cd player for a day or two to make a little music while we figure out a more permanent solution.

Try the Nobsound paasive pre on Amazon for $56. I replaced an $1800 tube pre with this. The clarity will floor you.

Frank to the rescue. He lives in St Louis Park, and I am very grateful Frank, Thank You. I purchased a pre from you at RMAF in 2008, and enjoyed it for years. He gets off work at 3 today.

Same here, I used tube pre-amps for over 40 years.
