Thanks everybody for the compliments and kind words. I've really enjoyed this thread... the photographs, repartee, comments, different styles and unique perspectives. I always feel that I'm in good company and am inspired by the fine photographers that post and lurk here. There have been many great images posted on this thread, and the Eye-Fidelity Circle has also been a good source for info. Photography and Audio... what a great combo! Cheers

Hey!

Oh, deer... jjdogs, that's a beautiful shot man. With the flock of birds in the back, got that dreamy feel to it.

That's a great lens. I have the f1.7 one. I have to say that the pics have a film like feel to them. I haven't gone FF yet.

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

I've also been enjoying the deer photos!

Holy Cow...

Thanks both for the kind words.

Jim

Oh wow. Now that's just a cool effect!
I love that and the "pixel smearer" thing (sorry, can't recall what it's called).

Hi Jim.
Thanks.
If they look nice, it's because we shake them to get rid of the fleas.
When those dog are not washed, they are called :
Mini flea bag...
and if it's a big dog,
we call it: Maxi or oversize flea bag.

That RX100 1" sensor does seem ridiculous good at high iso.  Are those ooc jpeg or RAW processed with NR?

Hey!

Yup, that's what I thought also. Reminded me of some of the paintings from Klee and Delaunay  :D
I'm intrigued, can you tell me the story behind it?

Take care,

Hi Jon L,

I shoot everything in RAW with the occasional exception of the use of presets such as a "sports mode" when I'm at the kids soccer games. Otherwise, I almost never shoot in jpeg.
I process in Lightroom 5, and for the photos that I share online (AC, etc.), I post to my Flickr page first. Lightroom does most everything I need... otherwise I turn to Adobe PS CS6. The images from the Gov't Mule gig had a very small amount of sharpening and noise reduction in Lightroom, but really, not very much. Yes, that little 1" sensor in the RX100MK2 is remarkable! The EXIF data on those nightclub images are: Bartender Pic - ISO 3200, 1/25 sec, f/2.8; Band Pic - ISO 6400, 1/125 sec, f/3.5.

At this point, I keep that little compact camera in my pocket just about anywhere I go. I've become a real fan. Hope this helps. Thanks again.
