Title: Clarion Tube Amp, 70's gen??
Post by: ebag4 on 2 Apr 2009, 05:27 pm
Guys,
A friend of a friend has a Clarion tube amp in need of repair.  I have already given the requisite "lethal voltages" warnings but he wants to work on this himself.  Anyone know of a good site for information on this brand of amp or on tube amps in general?

Thanks,
Ed

Ed,

I've searched all of my obscure tube repair sites that have schematics and haven't run across Clarion. I wonder if it a rebadged piece? I know of Clarion as a car audio manufacturer. I do see they were into tube radios back in the 30's and 40's. Detailed pics would really help to narrow down what the unit is (or might be).

Thanks Scott.  This is for a friend of a buddy of mine, so I don't currently have any more info.  I will hit him up for some specifics.  Thanks for taking the time to check.

Best,
Ed
