I am thinking of updating from my Bryston digital player, BDP1. I could update to their BDP-3 but would welcome other suggestions that I should consider before going to the BDP-3. I almost always buy used and would like to stay between ~$1800 to $~2600 in the used market.

Both sound great, but the Auralic has more features. If you are in the US, the advantage of the Bricasti is that it is made here and can be serviced here.

Seems there are a lot of choices out there. I recently bought a Border Patrol DAC, my first after having a CDP, and I'll eventually get something like an Innuos Zen Mini to store all my cd's on and use for streaming. But first I needed the dac and I'm very impressed with the sound. I'm slowly getting my feet wet towards the streaming revolution but am in no hurry, good luck!

I recently bought a Lumin U1-Mini and am extremely happy with it. If you need a DAC, the Lumin D2 is another option. Both are in your price range.
