Hey Guys,
RMAF is going to be full of awesomeness this year. We will demonstrate the new version of the LUMINA Servo Controlled OB speaker.
This mysterious speaker has never been shown in public before. Price $25K. Stop by for a listen in Room 3018 if you plan to attend.
The Lumina's will be driven by Vinnie's insane new L2 electronics via Paul Speltz's top of the line, Level 5 cabling. We have a large suite listening room, so the speakers can stretch out.

Hell yeah, I will be there!

Hi Clayton, Are you going to be showing any of your smaller speakers, like the M3s?

Not this time. Luminas only.
The M3 Triode Master will be shown at the Capitol Audiofest next month.
Thanks,
Clayton

Thanks. I'll save my travel money to put towards speakers.
-
Clayton,
What are the relevant changes from the original version to this L2?
-
Hi Tom,
The L2 changes are:
- Radian compression driver now 1 inch exit and dipolar vs original closed back 2 inch exit design. Greater high frequency extension and air.
- Mundorf Supreme Evo caps.
- Servo Bass amps are now built into the speaker's base plate.

I am so bummed that I do not get to hear the new Luminas and Vinnie's new preamp and amp at RMAF! My parent's are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary that weekend, so I will not be able to attend.
I have placed my order for the new Lumina however... :thumb:

Hi Gary,
Your Lumina baffles are being painted the tri-coat Lamborghini Orange as we speak and will be ready by the time I return from RMAF.

Hi Clayton. You just made my day!! :D :D :D

This is the first time I heard Spatial Audio speakers, here at RMAF... WOW!
Put my name on a list for the new up coming model.

My friends and I dropped in on the Spatial room twice. Easily our favorite room, the system was fantastic. Natural tone, super dynamic, engaging. Our second favorite room was VRs other room with Harbeth. Clearly, his new amps are fantastic and contributed greatly to the overall sound of both rooms.

Hi Shredder,
Thank you for your post, and I just started a RMAF2018 Show Coverage thread on my forum, here:
https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=160099.0
I am posting coverage from Clayton's room (3018) as well as the room that I was running (4024). There is plenty more coverage
coming for Room 3018 (which also featured Paul Speltz's AntiCables), and I will continue to update.
For example:
https://theaudiobeatnik.com/rmaf-2018-day-2-pictures-part-2/ (https://theaudiobeatnik.com/rmaf-2018-day-2-pictures-part-2/)
In the Spatial Audio room, Clayton Shaw was debuting his statement speaker, the Lumina L2 along with Vinnie Rossi’s L2 Signature Preamp and Monoblock System that he was debuting. All the cabling was from AntiCable. This was some of the best sound at the show.

Congratulations, Clayton and Paul!

RMAF was amazing - we all had a great time. Vinnie's new electronics are very special.
Here is pic of Paul Speltz and I hangin out with the Luminas. His Level 5 cables were invisible in the sound field, so I appreciate his participation and his professionalism.

Great room Clayton, Vinnie, and Paul. Realistic drum kit, wide and deep stage, focused intimate vocals, rich tone, top shelf room, congratulations!

Hi Charlies,
Clayton's room was using an Innuos music server feeding USB to the L2 Dac inside the L2 Signature Preamp.
See you at the NY Show next month?
Vinnie
-
Hey Vinnie no wonder that your DAC fed by Innuos Zenith made the Spatial speakers sound their best. Great speakers great components. Not doing NYC show this year. Too expensive for such a small room.
See ya at CAF though.

Thanks, Charles!
All,
I just posted this fantastic coverage of Room 3018 by Eric Franklin Shook of Part-Time Audiophile:
