Hi folks, I'm going to add a mono switch to my classic cornet.  Is there an advantage to summing the channels at the input (like cornet 2 does)

I just feel its less likely to introduce noise if I switch at the output.  And also it won't interfere with cartridge loading

Not good to do outputs.  The idea is to strap the stereo coils in the cart to form a single input.
