Thank you Roger for putting things into perspective for me.
This all started because I bought my first MC cartridge w/o out doing all my homework.
I would not have been this confused if I just stayed w/ MM cartridges but live and learn.
Anyway, my take away from you is before I go and buy an RM4:
A. Once I get the MC cartridge I'll play the system as is first
B. I'll see if I need to step up the gain
C. If after that it all sounds good, I'll do nothing but enjoy
D. If there is noise that I don't like and/or I do not get enough gain to make the cartridge sound sweet I will
give you a holler and try the next step you suggest.
