Title: For Jim - Cornet/Octal Constant Current Sink Question
Post by: TChung on 11 Apr 2004, 02:27 pm
Jim,

I have built the Cornet Octal and installed the Constant Current Sink option.  I just happened to find out from the recent Cornet manual that the CCS is included in the Schematics and an extra 220 ohm is added.  I am using two 510 ohms resistors now and do I need to add the extra 220 ohms resistor?

Thanks,
Tom Chung

No, you do not need the extra 220 ohm resistor.  That was added merely for the sake of layout convenience.  There were some traces I needed to cross and didn't want to break the ground plane.  Think of it as a jumper.

jh :)
