Building Speakers

Interested in building speakers.  Also I am going to upgrade my Klipsch Forte 3's with the upgrade kit.  Watched the video 3 or 4 times.  Looking forward to getting started.  My neighbor just built his first set of speakers from GR Research

Welcome to the forum.  Have you considered building an ESL? 
Below is my latest symmetrically segmented wire-stator ESL design.  I built a pair of these for a friend who rates them above his Legacy Whisper's. 

The build time is 120 hours and material costs around $1k, not including the digital crossover.  A CAD drawing and parts list are available thru my website here:
