Hey folks,

I'm going to be getting a new Audio Note DAC 2.1x Signature in the near future.  I was just wondering if the CDT-8 is compatible, using the AES connectors on both items.  I'm very new in the realm of digital so please forgive my ignorance.  Just want to make sure there wouldn't be any problems using these two items together, being that the Audio Note is somewhat old school with regard to technology.

Also, has there been any updates on the CDT-10 (cost, size/profile, release date, etc.)?

AES/EBU is an accepted standard in both the Recording industry and home audio so no compatibility problems.  I have used the AES output from the CDT-8 with multiple dacs.

Hello, Erocka2000.

I don't own a CDT-8 or 10, but I do own a DAC that is somewhat similar to the Audio Note DAC. I'll echo what JackD just told you - AES/EBU is just fine.

If the AN 2.1x Signature is your first foray into NOS DACs, you are going to love the musical experience! Enjoy!
