Let me start by stating I have a complete Odyssey system. Capped-up Stratos, Tempest, Nightingales, Groneberg Quattro speaker cables and
Groneberg Series 3
interconnects. Plan and simple, AWESOME!!! I've purchased it all used in the past year and I don't think any of it is newer than 3 years old. Today I popped the top off the Stratos because I had some crackling issue(Klaus said check the fuses and sure enough 1 was blown) and noticed the Groneberg wiring. The wiring from the board to the speaker posts was Quattro, but the wiring from the inputs to the board was Series 3. My question is will I hear a significant improvement if I upgrade my ICs to Quattro from the Series 3? Before you go off and say upgrade to mono's or extremes, save it. I don't have the funds. FWIW. I had Klaus update the transformer a year ago so that should be the newest generation.
