Help, I need a freeware program to play DVD's

I was throwing away an old computer, but took the DVD player out of it.

I hooked it up in my son's computer and now need a freeware program so he can play DVD's on it. It does see and recognize audio CD's.

Thanks for any suggestions.

He has a P3 700 with 512 meg of Ram, Win98SE

I use it all the time to play DVDs. Its a very small program and has nothing to install.

You might try mplayer's windows port http://www.mplayerhq.hu. It used to be the player i primarily use in linux, but i've never used the windows port.

Bob, thanks, but that doesn't work for win98se, gitarretyp, I downloaded the program file, but can't "unzip" it without Tarball, and tarball looks like a Linux product.

Any idea if they have a Win98 player?
