BP-26 SAD Modification
« on: 1 Feb 2009, 12:58 am »
Hi;

Anyone know what the cost is of having the factory add the DAC mod. to a BP-26?  I know it's a additional $1200 at purchase, but I'm just wondering what the cost would be to add the DACs at a later date.

I considered the internal DAC too.  The BDA-1 is a dream.

I think it's great that Bryston will modify equipment at a later date.  I was surprised that the DAC upgrade would cost no more than what the option originally cost. I expected it would cost quite a bit more.  It certainly says a lot for the company!

Right now I've just got the BCD-1 & my trusty TD-160 for sources  But I am looking at doing something with streaming and lossless, but I don't know enough yet.  So, it seemed reasonable not to go the DAC route at this point.

I just noticed my original subj.  was "SAD" option...can't image what I was thinking!
