Hi, all

I'm new to the site, so I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I've been into music and audio equipment since I. An remember. I although I love the hobby of collecting and listening, my knowledge is sub par. I understand the basics, but that's really it. So I've joined here to hopeless learn. Thanks

Welcome!

Where are you from?  What's your current system like?  What are your favorite musical genres?  What is your room and domestic arrangement (wife/kids)?

We're always eager to help you spend money and sell your existing gear cheap.  In the past 20 years digital has gotten big.  Streaming CD quality is the way to go.  And active monitors (sophisticated low voltage crossover feeding one channel of amplification per driver) with all sorts of digital adjustments like room correction spanks old fashioned passive loudspeakers in many ways.

Thank you for the warm welcome!!

JLM: I am from Massachusetts,  right now I have a few systems. My Home Theater set up is a Marantz Sr7013, that goes to a Rotel RMB-1095 which feeds all 5 speakers. Front 3 are Snell XA1900, and the rear 2 are Axiom QS8's. TV is an 85" Samsung Q70

Stereo system is in my bedroom, approximately 30'x25' with 15' ceilings. I am married so I'm luck I even get to have a system in there. Lol right now I am running a Peachtree Predac to a Classé CA-400 that feed my Hales Concept 5's. Stream with Bluesound, and have a music hall mmf 5.1. I am in the process of trying to purchase a pair of SP Technologies (which is what brought me here in the first place) as I would like to try and get in touch with the designer if possible.

I have another system in my cabin in VT that is very modest. Old Denon turntable, Pioneer SX-737, a Pioneer cassette deck (can't remember model), and some ACI bookshelf speakers. Replacing the ACI's with a pair of Heresy is on Friday, and possibly a Marantz 1060 to replace the Pioneer.
