I have absolutely no need for them. Of course I want a pair anyway.

Will the new speakers be a new series?  I have been keeping an eye on the gr research web page, but not sure if the new speakers will be a new series (I am assuming they will be), or will they listed under the X-Series?

We'll likely put them under a separate series, but we're not there yet.

Thank you Hobbs, the only reason I was thinking about you got X Series was because some of the same drivers were being used like in the x series; although the woofers are not part of the x series.

Seems like it would make sense for the new speakers to have their own series.  Excited to see what it will be called, it that is what is decided.

I have been looking for some current tech  "vintage" speakers, so thinking about building a set of these with my Dad for him.

His 1970's speakers with woofers disappeared sometime in the last 20 or so years.

Very fun.

Short-ish slightly angled floor stand packs available?

The M130 seems like a good model, especially the 16ohm, for a more old school speaker.

My forum search skills seem to be failing me... what are the details of the new speakers?

We just got the final cabinets a few days ago. Danny filmed an update video recently, to show off the internals of the cabinet.

We still need to paint them, confirm the crossovers, and get the final pricing for the flat pack.

Next project will be working on the MTM+ servo.

Bringing me Cerwin Vega vibes with the driver complement and higher sensitivity - though knowing GR it will perform like a modern speaker (ie better) through the mids and highs.

Cool design!

As far as the new speaker design name, to go along with the Beast and the Bully, my suggestion would be, "THE ROCKER."

GR R100

An homage to the JBL L100, everyone will instinctively know the speaker is a 3-way with a 12" woofer.
