I found out from the factory that if a CDT or CDP is left without using for a very long time, the drive belt can dries up, get stuck or deforms. Not saying that your CDT-10 was having the same problem. We haven't had the chance to inspect the failed parts.

All these insights help to improve a product.  A product like the CDT-10 is a highly acclaimed CD drive. Without a doubt, the CDT-10 is one of the TOP drives. I am hopeful that the diseases of the CDT-10 can be eliminated.

If you like, I can send the bad board back. I got the new board in and it all works fine now. I'm thankful for your help. I found an oddity in that both boards had only two out of four screw holes surrounded by thin washers. They were both on one side, but not the other. When I tightened the screws on the side without the washers, the "stop" button wouldn't depress. I took the washers off the old board, put them on the side with none, and that solved the problem. I took some

photos to make it easier to follow.
