Title: acoustic foam around tweeter
Post by: tomagardner on 16 Nov 2006, 08:38 pm
Hi Mike, My 20ish year old 3-way Titan's foam is beginning to deteriorate. What type of foam do you recommend I replace it with? TIA, Tom

Hello Tom!

The technical description is "non-reticulated, open cell foam".  I would suggest doing a few googles. It is the same thing that most manufacturers use as acoustic foam. If you can find the right thickness you can cut it w/ knife or scissors . . .  some fresh foam ought to last you another 20 years  :D

Muchas gracias Senor!
They have been relegated to the basement since I got my XLs last year.
Thanks, Tom
