Room Description

14 X 30 converted attic with sloped sides (long sides) carpeted with heavy drapes on each end. Low ceiling. Heavily damped. Listening position is in near field.

Listening Impressions

The speakers are extremely revealing and make a bad Cd or source file really bad, but also make good source files sound incredible. Bass is solid with the Scan Speaks and NuForce amps.

Media Storage

Digital files stored in iTunes as Apple Lossless. Served thru SlimServer to Transporter.

Other Comments

I also have an iPod which I use as my main source in my car. It is adapted into the audio system and can be addressed as a 6-disk changer by the receiver. This is the reason my storage in the house is in iTunes, rather than FLAC.
