I will have to check Ogawa out.  Is she more dreamy and soft, or more light and forthright in her basic approach?

I'd say she's more forthright. less dreamy, as you say, than Bavouzet. More presence in the recording, too. She has a very nice "Pictures" on Bis, too, with an unusual take on the "Great Gate."

Update: Listened to one briefly. They are not as "up close" as I remembered.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.
On this excellent Hybrid SACD:  http://www.sa-cd.net/showtitle/4400   there is two version of the Clair de Lune,
one arranged by L. Stokowski and other arraged by A. Caplet.
The SACD sound is wonderfully good.

Another good Debussy SACD by Telarc:
Debussy: Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune; Nocturnes; La Mer.

Beautiful orchestral works! You can get is for as low as $6 shipped (new) from the third party sellers on Amazon, so really a no brainer for a Debussy lover!
