Still in the hunt for my new DAC - thanks to all that have helped so far.
I was looking at a streamer from Metrum and Found the Jade as a NOS ladder DAC.
I have a bi amped system with Prima Luna mono on my highs and mids.
I also have a pre amp with a pair of 300b Emmision Lab mesh plates (great tubes BTW).
So, I think I have enough tubes in the sound chain that missing this feature in my DAC should be OK.
The Metrum design looks top notch and was wondering if anyone has heard one.
I know we talk a lot about system synergy, but the components I think synergy effect would be minimized (?).
We close on the new house on July 10th so a new DAC will be purchased.
I think I mentioned that I have a Cary 100t with a delta sigma chip. I did open it open and was fairly impressed that it has separate power for the digital and analogue sections. I have seen this is any of the boutique opens that we have discussed.
