Which disc would you re-buy FIRST, and foremost?

Better yet, if you could send 1 CD back with the aliens, what would it be?

Just looking for purchase ideas.  I want some new tunes. . .

Brahms Piano Concerto's #1 & #2 performed by Emil Gilels, conducted by Eugen Jochum.

I'd really hope the Alien death ray didn't melt my vinyl.  :D

If I did have to buy new CD's I would probably start with Ray Brown - Summer Wind. At least at the moment.

Awesome!  never actually heard that one.  I have their first two records on vinyl so I guess they would be safe from the alien invasion

Don't miss this one Duff, it's a really great album!  I also have "Skeptics Apocalypse" which I like, but I think the new singer is better.  :D  Great recording too I think.

B-

Having lost my CD's once in grad school when my car was broken into, I can tell you that the first CD I replaced was the Motets of J.S.B. recorded by Frieder Bernius and Kammerchor Stuttgart.  Its not the world's finest recording, but I think it is really the best performance of my hands down favorite stuff in the Western Canon.  I also would rebuy Richard Goode playing the complete Beethoven Sonatas on Nonesuch.

Slim Whitman provided the music that killed the martians, so I would have to go with any POS CD he made!!!

May I humbly suggest "Slim Whitman Sings And Yodels" from 1954?

Among the first things I'd (try) to replace would be my Blackmore's Night discs; there are three and all are subject to limited availability.  I'd also have to replace all my Mediaeval Baebes discs.  I suppose next would be my Judas Priest & Satriani remasters, then all my Liz Phair.

Man, it would suck having to replace all my stuff! :o
