Hello.

I have Von Schweikert?s for Surround, and I am looking for a new amp.

Anybody that have tried a Krell amp, like KAV-500 or Showcase?

Suggestions.....come on!

I use a Parasound A51 amp to drive four TS-150 (rear and side surrounds) and a center channel that is a VR4 JR.  (I tried a LCR15 center, but found I preferred a center that matched my left and right front speakers.)  The Parasound A51 is probably overkill for the TS-150, but I wanted an amp similar to the Parasound A21 driving the left and right front speakers.  Most would consider a Krell amp a step up from my amps.

Almost any Krell amp would likely easily power the TS-150 and LCR-15.  Does a Krell amp drive your other channels?

Howdy!

Yes box I am looking for a 5 channel amp, it will power 4 TS-150 and 1 LCR-15.
The Krell amp KAV-500 is right price used, but I need a 230V unit hard to get.

The LCR-15 will perhaps be replaced with a GamuT Center in the future.
Amps for Main speakers are GamuT monos.

I was fortunate to find a B&K REF 200.5 on Ebay.  It was 7 mos. old and I got it for about 40% msrp.  It is very good and I would recommend it highly.  Not sure if it's available with 230V input.  You could always move to the states.

The link is to a thread regarding conversion of a Parasound amp from 110V to 230V.  You might look into this possibility for a Parasound A51 or A52, if this is of interest.  Alternatively, you may be able to find a Parasound that has already been converted.
