As far as jumping straight from the 2s to the Soundscapes, that's a pretty big jump in terms of cost. The other thing to consider is that the Soundscape design includes an open back on the midrange and tweeter. That makes for a great sense of ambient sound. On orchestral music, it is phenomenal. But it's definitely different from direct radiators, which some prefer, especially for home theater. I think bass is one of the really important things a speaker can excel at. A number of HT3 owners have told me that they don't need their subs anymore. So I don't view the move to a 3 from a 2 as inconsequential. Hey, guys, I"d go for the Soundscapes over the 3s if $4,000 meant a little less to me than it does these days. Just explaining part of my reasoning in moving from the 2s to the 3s.

Nuance assumption was right, mine do have the LCY tweeter.
I just do not know how much of an difference this makes since i have not heard the Raal.
