Fire near Broomfield Colorado

About 4:45pm Central time Sunday 4/2.
Report of brush fires and evacuations near Broomfield, CO (AV123 office).
Hope all is OK

This is terrible news  :o  Hopfully everyone is alright .

This might explain Why I'm unable to gain access to their sight .

Fortunately, their office isn't threatened at all.  Actually, the fire wasn't that far from Mark's house.  It sounds like the fire is nearly 100% contained at the moment.

There certainly was a lot of smoke in the air today.

Mark said the fire was never closer than a couple miles from his house -- fire is out, everyone is OK.

Mark's actually being somewhat modest there.  The fire started about two miles away and the winds spread it away from his house.  If the winds had blown in the other direction (NW instead of SW), his neighborhood would have been the evacuated one.  I consider two miles from a 1600 acre fire to be too close for comfort myself, especially when there is little between your house and the grassy fields.  Luckily, another two miles and a highway separate me from Mark's house.  :)
