Hi,

When will the $60 integrated T-amp be available?

Will it be similiar to the Russ Andrews Tamp available in the UK?

That looks pretty neat.  Wonder if/when it'll be available in the US.

We're hoping to have an early prototype at our show this weekend.  If it does arrive in time, we'll be sure to get some pictures and any additional specs / news including a projected release date.

this looks interesting.  I was just ready to order a sonic impact amp for work, but think I'll wait till this is released now.

Greg: If it does arrive on time, you'll have to inspect my bag before I leave.  :)

The prototype unit at the show only had one input.  I'll certainly push to get that second input in there and possibly add a digital input.  That would be cool!

The prototype was a bit ugly, so I wouldn't worry about pictures.  Imagine one or their R-DES boxes with binding posts on the back.  :)

Bradjudy-
How did the little fellow sound? Does anyone know a time period when this is going to be released? I'd like to buy one or do an evaluation against my other digital amps.

Other than some noise at power-up (I'm hoping this will be cleared up before production), I thought it sounded quite good.  I think I'll pick one up for use on my computer.

Just to let everyone know that this product is NOT based on the TriPath modules... but another platform...

I'm testing one last circuit change (to be ready when I'm back on the 21st), and then we'll get 'er ready for production...

I can assure everyone that the chassis cosmetic will be lovely...  :)

Thanks so much...

All the best...

OMG......

I have been waiting for this one.

This and the Monoblocks have been on my mind for a while.

Actually the whole X lineup is going to be in a couple rooms in my home.

So.......  I'm getting confused, as usual.  Is this different than a standard amp?

This IS (in fact) a digital amplifer...

The unit in question was originally a 30 watt per channel affair at (approximately) 69 dollars...

I would like a tad more power... I'm in the process of reviewing a second design that has more power (about 60 watts per channel / 8 ohms ~ 100 watts per channel into 4 ohms) and a little more flexibility (more about that later)... The issue is price... I believe we would have to be $99 dollars here...

Sonically... this is an amazing design...

Cool...

Thanks...

It's exciting for us too...

There are a total of 10 new X Products that will all come to to life this and next year...

X-empower (smalll digi integrated)

X-ice (100 watt per channel mono-blocks)

X-head (digital headphone amp)

X-hub (digi pre-amp / dac)

X-tt (a turntable --- no joke)

etc. etc.

Loads of speakers also... (5 models to choose from starting at 89 dollars each)...

All of the electronics above are EXTREMELY well priced... Tons of value and loads of "fun-factor"...

More later... I'm in dial up from China right now... My ADSL is broken...

:-)

All the best...

$99.00 for a good-sounding 60 watts/channel digital integrated amp still sounds good to me.

Can't wait.
