Hi Michael,
Do you had visited the home of Teresa Teng in Taipé?
-
FRM,
No. I have not visited her home. Do you like listening to her songs?
[Edit: My wife informed me there is some sort of shrine or memorial to her at her gravesite.]
There are so many things to do when I get back to Taiwan that I must sometimes tell my wife that I get a couple days off to recuperate. The food is so delicious that I typically gain five pounds every time I return. Then, I have to lose it again.
Stay safe.

I’d gain 5lbs just from all the water dumplings I’d eat if I ever get back. LOVE those. The steamed ones are more popular it seems, but the boiled ones made me SO happy! Hard to find done right in Canada in my experience.

Hi, Mark.
水餃!I love 水餃. Pork with shrimp added are my favorite, but I'll order beef about 10% of the time. I don't know about your neck of the woods, but we've found pretty good quality skins at Asian grocers. Ground pork, Chinese celery, green onion, shrimp, salt, pepper, sugar, and a little soy sauce for the stuffing will get you pretty close to most 水餃 sellers in Taiwan. My wife makes pretty decent 水餃.
Vancouver, BC has fantastic Chinese restaurants, but that's not exactly close to you, is it?
