I have received a few requests to post pictures of new speakers. These were just completed this week and have not yet been posted on my own site.

These Veracity HT3's were done in block mottled African cherry with Mexican cocobolo front baffles and trim. They were part of this home theater system:

Here are some shots of the center channel:

These speakers are headed to Korea.

Jim sent me a picture of my speakers under construction and the Ebony looks absolutely insane. This is like no Ebony you have seen before (trust me on this). :notworthy:
The baffles will be figured Claro walnut. I am sure that Jim will post completed photos when they are ready to show off.
Outstanding job Jim :!:

The Claro Walnut is super nice IMHO. My speakers are possibly going to be Japanese tamo ash stained black. Here's the wood:

They look ...."Fabulous" !!!! :hyper: [/list:u]But I'm not surprised....I've seen George's speakers up close and personal....nice job !!!! :D [/list:u]And...not only do the look great....they sound great as well !!!! 8) [/list:u]I'll be watching for your next set of photo's...Rob's, Bryan's, and Gordon's speakers (those I know of). I know what it's like waiting for things to arrive, but Jim's speakers are well worth the wait.[/list:u]Kind of makes me wish I had a bigger sound room..... :? [/list:u]

Walls are highly overrated. Are you going to let something like sheetrock and studs stand in your way of audio nirvana? :rotflmao:

Well...I'm surposed to move...at least that's what my wife says  ....just have not gotten around to cleaning things up and packing things. Who's got time when your working all the time. :? (she's had it with living in NY...wants that country air... :P ).So...some time in the future....I'll be moving. And when I do, it will have a sound room big enough for at least a few systems....nice !!!! [/list:u]

Gorgeous!
I really like the claro walnut and burled english oak combination on the Ellis 1801.

These speakers are totally STUNNING! I have not read much about them (besides the Salk website).
Can somebody who owns these please post a review. If one exists maybe somebody could supply a link. Thanks!
Cheers,
Bill

Here's my short review:
I liked the speakers so much, I bought them!
My wife likes them so much, that once I sell a bunch of my extra gear I am buying a second pair of HT3's!!
Ok Wolfy, I will write something up in the next week.
I also need to write reviews for the following gear:
TacT RCS 2.2x
McCormack DNA-500

Thanks George !!

[/list:u]High WAF...its the real deal as the photo's show...a win-win for both sexes.. . They look and sounded excellent....and at George's, sounded even better without the sub when we were comparing speakers. :) [/list:u]

Very nice. I actually prefer the look without the baffles. I'd bet a similar pair in Rosewood would be beautiful.

My review of George's system:
After hearing his HT3's, I sold my speakers and amps and bought the DNA 500 and HT3's for myself. Now I have to save up for the Tact. Why be different? I've heard the sound I'm looking for. :D

I only hope you enjoy your system as much as I do mine!

Wow! I never thought I'd see a pair of wood speakers that were better-looking than nOrh's marbles, but Jim, you've done it. Those are the sexiest speakers I've ever seen!
I see a pair of HT3's sitting in my living room soon after my income tax refund arrives next year. :)
I really like the red/black finish on the center and surrounds going to Korea; is that the Mexican cocobala?
Great job, Jim - congratulations!!!

Yes that is Mexican cocobolo. It is a form of rosewood with very dramatic coloration that varies from red to orange and from dark purple to black. It is very dense and finishes nicely.

I am actually looking for some Brazilian rosewood right now. It is getting harder and harder to find these days. But I was recently contacted by a gentleman in Australia who just ordered a complete home theater with Veracity speakers all around - HT3's. HTC, HT1's and a large sub - all in Brazilian rosewood without baffles. It appears you are not the only one who feels that way.

See page 4 of the following thread for another example of Jim Salk's handiwork - my new HT-3's:
