I had a 2004 Triumph Bonneville America that I dearly loved, in spite of the fact that it spent more time in the shop than it did with me.

I now have a 2006 Suzuki C50, which has only needed routine maintenance (oil changes, 1 valve adjustment.)

The Suzuki, reliability wise, is head and shoulders above the Triumph. but I still lust after the Rocket III.

It's a car engine in a bike frame just so Triumph can claim the 'world's biggest bike' title. Triumph's makes excellent bikes (like the 676, Speed Triple and Tiger) but the Rocket ain't one of them. The sound of a Triumph triple with a decent aftermarket pipe is mechanical music.
