Nice mate for the NuForce air DAC.

How loud will they go?

Recommended for desktop/bookshelf use?

I haven't heard them yet and don't have SPL specs, but I think from the wattage and woofer size that it certainly is aimed at the small room and desktop customer.

I have been told that they do perform above their weight class however, and look forward to hearing them.

I am listening to my set right now and am really impressed by the sound.  I just wished it had had a remote control.

The first couple of reviews have come out and looks promising.  Enhanced BT (Bluetooth) sound quality is good, AirDAC improves only slightly.  Reception/cellphone control out to about 40 feet.

Here's one recent review:  http://www.ifans.com/forums/threads/nuforce-s3-bt.392982/

My old flip phone finally died, so I'm shopping for iPhone or iTouch.

Still looking at the S3-BT for a secondary system, but wish there were provisions for connecting a subwoofer (perhaps just as well to save money/space and not necessary for background/occasional use).
