Wow. We're pretty lame.
-
Hey BISL hope you can make this one. I've already PM'd and would love hanging out with you again.
Mark
-
You PM'd me? I didn't get it.
I'm "pretty" sure I'll make it, but didn't want to commit, then back out.
-
I meant I've already RSVP in a PM to Don. Sorry for the confusion.
-
I would've RSVP'd the day Don posted this, but I'm still waiting to hear from my family to figure out if I'll be able to make it.
We always go to KC at Christmas to see my mom's side of the family, but this year my cousin's pregnant wife has scheduled to be induced on Dec 28th, 4 days before the due date. Kind of weird to schedule being induced before your due date 2 months in advance if you ask me, but I guess that's not really my business.
As a result, we're postponing my KC family Christmas by a few weeks, but I'm still waiting to hear what weekend that's going to be postpone to. If it's not the weekend of Jan 11 (and I'm really hoping it's not), I'll definitely be at Binger's for this shindig. Looks like an awesome lineup of gear.
I agree with Bob though, hopefully there is more interest in this than you'd surmise from the response in this thread. Maybe everyone is just PMing Don like he said to in the OP?
-
I'll be joining you Don.
-
I might be able to make it too :thumb:
-
Waiting on the schedule for a Jan. business trip. For now, please count me in! Thanks.
-
Hoping I can make this one.
-
Sturgis, hoping to see you there. Bob, in stl. hope to see you too.
I'm hoping to see a number of all of the old and new guys there.
the Circle seems to be getting smaller!!!

Hi Don, this is Bryan, I was at your place on another occasion and hanging out with Gene this past Axpona. We crashed your breakfast buffet, LOL.
I'd like to come and see everyone. I'll PM for directions and to say for positive I can make it.

PM sent. I’d like to try and make this
Thanks,
Gerry

It was great seeing youse guys again - I hope you had a good time, heard some stuff you liked and got home safely in the winter slop ! We'll do it again when I get the Pass crossover sorted out for the SLOB's.
Cheers, Binger
-
Binger, thanks for the hospitality. It was good seeing everyone and of course all the great gear. The little Maggies sound great. Let me know when the open baffles are done. I really would like to hear them. Once again thanks for the good time.

A splendid time was had by all who were in attendance!
-
Thank you for hosting such a lovely event! It was an absolute blast!
-
Thanks Don. Gene got me home safe and I see he made it :)
Don, what was that keyboard players name? I thought you said Mike Nedonne but I can't find that on Tidal, YouTube or Google. I must have the spelling wrong.
-
Mike LeDonne - he has his own band and a bunch of great recordings. Check him out on Amazon.
-
Don,
Thank you for hosting another great get together. Those little Magnapans are very impressive.
Somebody mentioned a magazine that listed the effective tip mass of various phono cartridge systems. Does anybody know if that list is online somewhere?
Ken

Hey Don, thanks for hosting :thumb:
It was fun seeing some of the old crew and catching up. Those little Maggies are a no brainer at ~$700.
Hopefully I'll catch you at one of the Cars and Coffee events once it warms up a bit.
-
Don, thanks for sharing your home and letting us experience your excellent equipment. I wish I could have stayed longer but the weather forced me to think about the drive home. What about that utility pole at the corner that was sheared off by the Jeep? That happened just as I was leaving your place.

Thanks for hosting. I was lots of fun. Nice to meet some kindred souls.

A huge thanks again for hosting Don! It was a great time as always.
I agree with Scott, those LRSs are amazing for that price! I may need to look up if my amp is capable of driving a pair of those :green: And that 5.1 remix of Aqualung was impressive too.
-
Hi, Guys ! Glad you made it all home in one piece ! WRT the utility pole, some genius in a Jeep hit it hard enough to split it halfway up and only the wires kept it off Carman Rd. We are lucky we did not lose power in the middle of the party ! AmerenUE is fixing it today. So far no interruption in power. Those linemen are studs in my book !
Thanks again for all the kind remarks. We will do it again soon !
-
Sorry I missed out on meeting a ton of you! Sadly, the weather and its resulting affect on my sinuses conspired to make it a no go. :(
Next time....
-
Don,
It was great meeting and reacquainting with all the GAS members that I knew from my Audio Musicale. What a great group of guys. Your home and system looked and sounded fabulous. I’d like to hear the Home Theater sometime. I liked the Maggies best. Followed by the Spendors. I’m not familiar with the others but maybe they are some kind of project in the works. They did look stunning for sure.
Thanks again for sharing your home.
If any of you guys would like to come by my place some weekend just let me know.
Steven

Alright: the proof is in the pictures which right now aren't any.
Pics or this didn't happen. Or at least let me see what y'all are talkin about.
Thanks
Don

Found some Ledonne on Tidal. Odd what shows when you spell it correctly, LOL
I like an album called From The Heart.
-
We had so much fun jammin', drinkin' and laughin', I don't think you took any pics ! I can show you the Pass SLOBs - here is a good pic. The crossover is not done yet, but we did play the full-range drivers. Pretty cool !

Hi,
I noticed my profile didn’t display my system pictures. I think I have everything uploaded to the Gallery and System views.
The systems have changed a bit, I need to take more recent photos and post them. But you can get the idea.

It fills up the room and then some! Sounds great.

@ Popthinker. Thanks for the kind words. I’m auditioning the Ideon big reclocker. Also took delivery of the Uptone Audiio EtherREGEN. Both nice additions. Very impressed with Ideon unit.
Mr Peabody heard it as well.
@Sturgis- sent you a PM.
