SST2 Power Cords

A question for a friend: are these cords shielded?

It feels like they are to me (for my 4B/9B-SST2) by their stiffness, but they don't say. Thanks.

Normally, there are markings on the cable.

I never use the original cords that came with my Bryston gears or any audio gear in general.

That's just me. :)

Based on the information you have, my guess they are not shielded.

It's a good cord if you see Volex on it. :)

This is a good power cord.  It has lots of copper and reasonably priced.

http://www.monstercable.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=2760

Dual 100% mylar and 95% copper braid shielding for maximum rejection of EMI and RFI.

I bought mine locally here http://www.adorama.com/MLPL3008.html?searchinfo=monster+powerline+300

Hi Guys,

I got a Nordost Vishnu for my 4Bsst2 and was amazed at the improvement in my system. Bass was deeper, bigger sound stage, less harsh treble, better dynamics. Really pleased with it.

I know it is a fair bit to spend and many will think I am crazy but honestly extremely pleased with the results. Would love to hear Valhalla or Brahma but can't afford them. Cheers

Hi folks

Here is a nice power lead i bought.  http://www.ultralinkcables.com/#/products/compare/AC%20POWER%20CORDS/
I own 4 different brands of cabling Shunyata, Gutwire, ultralink and Blue circle.
These leads are as good as any of them and they are only about $150.00.  For those that want cryogenically treated cables these are very good. They are as good as my shunyata's and they are about 5 times less in cost. My gutwire is a whole different sounding power lead and is hard to catergorize and compare. The platinum one is really nice with the 4bsq and thats where i have it now. If you are looking for power leads those should be considered cuz they are so cheap.
