For sale is a Platinum Truth modified ModWright Transporter.  The unit was back with ModWright in Jan. 10 to be updated to the most current configuration and have the rectifier tube voltages properly set to work with the EML tube.  The unit includes the original 9-pin signal tube sockets.  Condition is excellent and I would rate it at 9/10 on the Audiogon scale.

Modwright Truth Mods:
• Completely re-designed analog stage
• RCA and balanced outputs sourced from the new analog stage.
• Tube output stage features an internal, tube rectified power supply.

Platinum Upgrade:
• AC bybee purifiers installed (2) and 'Hyper Drive' power supply upgrade.

Power Supply Optimized
• Revised power supply optimized to extend the life of the preferred EML rectifier tube.

Included:
• EML 5U4G rectifier tube
• Adapters to allow the use of 6SN7 family of signal tubes.
• A pair of 6H30-DR Russian Super Tubes.
• The original output tubes supplied by ModWright.
• Original packaging
• Remote
• Product manual

Shocked that these units need a price reduction... and what its down to! Sign of the economy I guess -- as these are incredible. Even with other new offerings in music servers out there, the MWTP is still in the top 3

You and me both!!  I plan on getting the new DAC board for my LS100 when available and play with some of the higher resolution stuff, but am not going to give this away as it is an excellent unit.

i use one of the digital input as a DAC also with my arcam dv77 as a transporter.sound freaking awsome.i paid twice as much for that 2 years ago. :o

I would also consider a trade plus cash situation for a stock Transporter in excellent condition (silver preferred) for use as a digital transport.
