I knew that!  I was at the shop today and Jim mentioned another pair of HT3's were in the queue.  Get lots of amp power and enjoy!!!

Congrats and welcome to the Salk family!  Which veneer did you choose for both the speakers and subwoofer?  Did you go with the downward firing Rythmik?

BRM is right - be sure you have lots of amp power; those HT3 woofers will thank you if you do.

Something very similar to that, but full wooden front no black at the top. I have no idea if I got the down firing sub or not, I guess I should ask him.

I'm going to get an emotiva XPA-5 and run 4 channels to the HT3's and 1 channel to the center.

Flat cut Macassar Ebony.  But here is the issue...  Ebony is almost never flat cut.  It is normally rotary cut.  So the grain patterns are generally somewhat straight vertical lines.  We managed to find a few sheets of rotary cut ebony that have a fairly wild grain pattern in the direction of that look.

The veneer used on those speakers was purchased about six years ago and I have not seen any like it since.

We get calls about that finish every once and a while.  But most of the time I just have to inform the caller that it simply isn't going to be possible to reproduce.  Every tree is different and every batch of veneer is different.  Sometimes we run across batches of a particular veneer that are spectacular.  But when they're gone, they're gone.

You have great taste :)

I'm not getting the black baffle and I'm going with that wood grain on a sub and center channel as well.

He said this veneer pops up once every 5-10 years so I'm taking the plunge now :)

Congrats on the HT-3’s you will love them. I received my HT3's in Rosewood about 8 months ago and they just keep sounding better, powering them with 2 Emotiva XPA-1’s and a XPA-5 for the HTC and surrounds. I hope you do not run into the same problem I have, all my friends that come over and hear the HT3’s are not happy with their systems when they go home the next time they see me they tell me they hate me.   :) :D :thumb:

Congratulations on the HT3's

I just read your other thread and noticed you live in New Orleans
Feel free to come over and get a fix

I have HT3's in my 2 channel setup and v3's with monster center and JL audio sub in my home theatre set up

The HT3's will fit the bill nicely

Grant,  I thought you sounded familiar,  that was a few years back
Had my amp been working you would have owned your HT3s a long time ago.  :thumb:

System is firing on all cylinders so anytime you would like to hear them

Best wishes in your building project
May it go smoothly and your audio room be the crown jewel
