I agree about Queen’s Gambit-one of the best series I’ve watched on Netflix.

Good but not as good as Ozark or the Crown.

I never watched an entire episode of Downton Abbey, it was like watching paint dry.
But The Crown is mesmerizing. The public expectations along with the isolation of Queen Elizabeth in service of a country is mind blowing. The acting is top notch and set design is perfection.
Highly recommended!

Sounds great, I've started it and I must say, I'm impressed and enjoying season 1 so far! Thank you for the recommendation  8)

Like others here. My Favorite Netflix shows have been (in no particular order)

Ozark
Narcos
The Crown
Queen's Gambit
Black Mirror
Better Call Saul (if you're a Breaking Bad fan)

Need to start a new series and thinking of Babylon Berlin

Peaky Blinders and Mindhunter are great if you haven't seen them yet.

Peaky is on my list too! Loved Mindhunter but sad as it sounds like they aren’t going to come back with another season

I thought the new Alien Planets on Netflix would be amazing... turn out it's like they reply the same CGI that's about 1:30 long and the rest is shots of earth. Who the fuck cares?

Not Netflix but really impressed with quality of acting on HBO new series "Your Honor" starring Brian Cranston.

That caught my eye but that’s Showtime correct?

Been getting into Netflix a lot now. Lots of documentaries and into Ratched, Murder Map,  Queen's' Gambit (excellent!), and Peaky Blinders now. Regular TV is absolutely no talent trash!
Keep the recommended coming.

"Mosul" on Netflix is excellent.  It's the kind of film that draws you in almost immediately.  That it draws on actual events only makes it better.  It's powerful and brutal at times.

i and my wife have recently gotten into "Virgin River" on netflix - it is a charming series - set in a little town -  supposedly in northern california (its not a real town though) - It was really filmed in a place near vancouver    Nothing really happens except daily dramas between members of the community and run ins with illegal marijuana growers

whats notable is the cast - Tim Matheson of animal house fame and the west wing and a host of other notable movies in the 80's and 90's - and Annette O'Toole made a host of movies in the 1980's and 90's

If the world ended - these people would be the last to know about it - its a beautiful place with a lot of backward small town language but O'Toole's acting chops and the star alexandra brekinridge (mel) - steal the series
