*phew* Sounds good - thought I missed something! But ya, you'd spend $1k for some odd reason apparently. No word from Bryston in months now...

Hi

I think the best person to answer an SP3 question would be atanner@bryston.com.

As a group update - I spoke with Adam this morning and they are going to investigate.

Of course, the SP3 doesn't officially support DV but hopefully there is a timeline? Will update the group when I have news.

SOLUTION!

So I worked with Adam Tanner and we resolved the issue.

Turns out that you *have* to use the left-most HDMI output from the perspective of looking at the front of the SP3 - that's the one most outboard, furthest from the HDMI inputs.

Obviously it assumes you are using fast HDMI cables - DV needs a lot of bandwidth and *normal* cables won't do the job.

You also *can't* connect a second HDMI cable to the other out port as that will disable DV on the primary.

So, HUGE kudos to Adam for finding the solution. Great job Bryston. We now have a solution and know what prevents it from working.

As soon as eARC is available by upgrade, I'm getting the upgrade. I think this will extend the life of the SP3 for at lease another 5 to 7 years.  8)

I am glad Stan is still around. I will never forget what he did for me when I first purchased my SP3. He made me a Bryston customer for life.  8)
