Currently running a tubed line stage that’s a gain mismatch for my Odyssey Khartago amplifier. Add to that I’m running high sensitivity speakers (99db) and you have a system where the tubes must be perfect or else it’s audible.
I’m going to move away from said Linestage and one suggestion that came up was the LDR V2. So here I am.
So what I need is a Linestage with at least 3 inputs and 2 sets of outputs (I drive a pair of Rythmik subs + an Odyssey Khartago stereo amplifier. The system doubles as our tv audio (2 channel) plus vinyl.
My only experience with a passive is a Schiit Sys which was bought used to allow me to use the power amp and sell the integrated. I ended up using it for more than a year and while it was super quiet and clean, it was also a little subdued and boring.
I’m not concerned with absolute fidelity, rather I want dynamics, emotional engagement and fun.
So I’m wondering if this is a good way to go.
