Thanks, brother.  That's nice.  Don't know if you know but Cosby is a jazz freak.  He produced a couple of albums some years ago with major avant garde players.  Cheers.

This is a live concert recording of Dizzy and Bird from Town Hall not previously known to have been recorded. With audio restoration by Ted Kendell, the sound is excellent. It is a discovered recording of Dizzy and Bird at bebop's inception - the equivalent of finding the Buddy Bolden cylinder. Also features Don Byas, Al Haig, Curley Russell and Max Roach.

Maybe....hard to find things with all this stuff around - all over....

Quote
One of the most intriguing stories about Bolden concerns the possibility that he made a recording with his band before 1898. This Edison cylinder has become the Holy Grail of missing jazz recordings, and enthusiasts have offered large rewards for the finder. "That the cylinder was made is quite believable," wrote Donald M. Marquis in his book In Search of Buddy Bolden: First Man of Jazz. He added, "That it is gone forever is even more believable."

Diane Schuur   "The Gathering"

10 country tear jerkers, sung by Diane Schuur with the help of Alison Krauss, Mark Knoplfer, Larry Carlton and Kurk Whalum.  This is a great CD.  If you dont care for the slow pace of the tear jerkers, start with track 2 and 6.  These are a little up beat and have a touch of Funk.  It is a 2011 release and well recorded.
