A bit too laid back for my tastes.  Everything was in waltz time.

This is a very fragile work.  Wonderful, sappy songs and Bakers' limited vocal skills and yet I just love it.  There is something very beautiful about that fragility. If you've never heard him either singing or on trumpet, check it out.  For me this is a desert island recording.

Hey there won ton, hope all is well. Of course it's a matter of taste, but for me there are at least 4 - Timeless, Arcade, & on the harder side, Night, then his duo with Ralph Tower - Sargasso Sea. They did a second one called 5 Years Later, but it's still only available on vinyl (which I have).  I've got probably 75-80 % of everything he's done or on. Most is outstanding, some just ok. btw - I'd forgotten about King Crimson for years, even though Pman sent me some which I hadn't gotten around to listening to. I ordered the 40th Anniv of In the Wake of Poseidon and was reminded how good & innovative they were. That prompted me to get the Islands Anniv release. Don't know if the regular releases sounded as good, but was impressed with the remasters. Haven't checked out the DVD audios yet. Keep 'em spinnin'   :thumb:

            Ralph Towner: Anthem

won ton - check out Towner's Blue Sun, Diary, and some Oregon (he's the git picker with them). For Terje, After the Rain, Odyessy are must haves, and If Mtns Could Sing is very nice as well.  8)
