I have two of his, Bob, this one and Desert Marauders (also ECM).  The opening tune on the latter is past fabulous to me.

Hi Jim, Desert Marauders is definitely my favorite of the two. I know what you mean about the first tune on Marauders, it's great. This was my first listen to Rubisa Patrol since picking it up last week.

Ahmad Jamal's Alhambra on the Argo lable-- very dynamic piano, they must have miked it really close.
