James since the BCD3 uses the DAC from the BDA3 would this be an upgrade to use the BCD3 as a standalone and not use my BDA1 in the chain to my BP26 ????

There is an advantage to an all in one CD player as you can control the Clock and the DAC and the Drive as a known single operating signal - no need to resample the incoming signal so less jitter.

This is the reason I prefer having a "player" as long as the whole unit is well made  ( like Bryston) :thumb:

OK thanks guys I will be awaiting the new players arrival, and could be final piece in an all Bryston system.

James would the BR2 Remote be included as it did with the BCD1, or can it be deleted as a cost saving if requested as alot of us have the remotes already ?

Yes ,wondering what opinions,if any were expressed. I guess there would have to be enough interest to warrant production of the BCD3.

Surprisingly yes .... we had a lot of interest - but I am told Quebec (where the show was) is very much a CD province so maybe a little more skewed in the CD direction than most places?

More correctly, "skewed in the CD direction"
