Room Description

Large open floorplan family room, connected to kitchen, dining room, no doors. ~ 10,000 cubic feet, mostly hard reflective surfaces. Lively sound. Needs lots of midrange damping, but bass is great, it just goes right through the stick walls. The long reverb can sound good sometimes.

Acoustic Treatment

Homemade binary amplitude diffusion panels on ceiling and walls. I built a 7'x12' folding wall 'soundproof' room separator and 5'x10' 'soundproof' door to seal off the kitchen from the listening room.

Listening Impressions

Open, fast, clear, spacious. Big scale, dynamic.
