I cancelled Directv bc the only thing I watched on it was F1 on ESPN. I subscribed to F1TV to watch the direct streams from F1. Their app is good and last season when I was trying it out to make sure it could replace espn it would airplay directly to my LG Tv just fine. Over the winter they shut off the ability to airplay to my TV. Everyone is reporting this “bug” so I know it’s not broken on my end. F1TV support says Apple TV is supported for airplay.
Some people reported that it still airplayed to Roku player so I tried that and it worked a month ago. Now it doesn’t work on Roku either. I think Liberty (F1) and Apple have a deal so F1TV app now only airplays to Apple devices.
I’m willing to buy an Apple TV box so I can stream F1TV to my TV, but just to be safe and avoid another snafu I thought I would ask here if anyone here is actually streaming the F1TV app to an AppleTV successfully?
I run the F1TV app on my 8th gen iPad with current iOS 16.3.
