This is all the parts that are required to have a fully functioning Buffalo 32S.  The sound really impressed me. 

I do not know of a digital source anywhere near this price that offers similar sound quality.


I only used this in a test enclosure.  I did not build a permanent  enclosure for it because unfortunately I need the funds.

I gotta show my complete lack of technical understanding here, but 2 questions:

1)  can this be configured to do at least 24/96 via USB?

2) can a tubed output stage be implemented?

Hi Randy,

Twisted Pear offers several different input modules including their own USB module.

This dac is compatible with high resolution formats.  You would just have to determine the best way to feed these signals to the dac. 

Twisted Pear offers more solutions for that than any other company I have seen.

The tubed output stage question is one that would be better researched on their Twisted Pear forums.

It is my understanding that it was possible on the older Buffalo dac but not with the Buffalo 32S.

The Twisted Pear output stage sounds pretty amazing as is.  The Twisted Pear guys have been tweaking this design for quite some time.  I think they have hit a home run with this design.
