You just gotta love the audio press. When did the BP 26 come out, 2007, 2008? Since then it has nobly performed its role as the Rodney Dangerfield of the preamp world. Now all the sudden in 2018 it's a darling with The Absolute Sound. Most of us who own one knew it all along!

To me, The Absolute Sound only reviews equipment brands no one in the states knew about. This is the reason I did not renew my subscription. Even though its an audio magazine, they should have reviewed the SP3 years ago. Stereophile reviewed it which is why I keep my subscription with them. They have always been know to review home theater pieces that qualify as hi fidelity or worth of audiophile coverage. Had I not read Sterophile's review on the SP3 by Kal Rubinson, I would have never known Bryston as a company. Since then, I have purchased their BDP-2, BDA-3, as well as the 2.5sst2 amp. I'm a Bryston man. :D

your kidding me right? to say that statement and you didnt renew because of that statement is like saying ---- i dont like water - because it's too wet - makes no sense and is not reality based

That's ok. I (and others) have all the time in the world to enjoy our discs, while the MQA fanboys try to convince themselves that it's the greatest thing in audio reproduction. (Not sure what CDs have to do with MQA, however).
What was it that WC Fields said a long time ago?
cheers

I am with you 100%. Not a MQA fanboy. Not convincing myself or anyone else. I do not use MQA. Just give it a chance its new.

agreed - every iteration of digital music has been hailed as an "unbelievable breakthru" - I have listened to about 15 mqa recordings - some are very good - some are just good - some are ok - some are not so good, etc - is all over the map - if you dont have mqa - the world wont end - and you will still enjoy music

this list is good in the sense that stay away from whatever is on the list. every single award they give is paid for.

sorry my bad. i have zero interest in starting something specially since i love Bryston gear. basically Bryston and pass have revived my hope in SS amps.
I was referring to the fact that companies who dont spend advertising dollar disappear from these kinds of lists and companies who do spend them are everywhere until the stop spending then they disappear.
